Sophia received her BA in Journalism from Georgia State University and her MS in Strategic Communications from Purdue University. She spent 20 years working in the non-profit and higher education sectors with 10 of those years at Wittenberg University as a fundraiser and donor relations specialist. She joined TransitionOne in 2020 as the Vice President for Marketing and Operations.

She has served on several non-profit boards and committees, including Leadership Clark County, Ridgewood School, Wittenberg Guild, Rocking Horse Center, and Springfield YMCA Swim Club. In 2006, Sophia was selected as one of the Top 40 under 40 Professionals in Springfield, Ohio. In 2007, she received the Leadership Clark County Alumna of the Year Award.

Sophia enjoys fitness and hiking and worked as a personal trainer and spin instructor for many years. She loves traveling and spending time with her family, which includes her husband of 35 years.
